Twin Cities Book Festival, Here We Come!

By Ellie Eggl

Hello all!

Once again, this is Ellie Eggl, your NDSU Press Graduate Assistant. I’m reporting to you on the eve of the Twin Cities Book Festival, with my books in hand and ready to meet all you wonderful folks!

For those of you who do not know, every year the Twin Cities hosts a book fair and invites publishers and authors from all over the region. This year, the event is taking place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10am – 5pm at the Union Depot in Saint Paul. As for NDSU Press, we are exhibiting again this year along with several of our wonderful authors!

Author Signings

10am-12pm- Jeffery Karl Johnson, author of Alt for One, One for Alt

Alt for One is a memoir tackling Jeff’s experience on the Alt For Norge Norwegian reality TV show, dealing with his own journey and the cultural rules of Jantleoven.

12pm-2pm- Anthony Albright, author of The Distance that Isn’t Miles

The Distance That Isn’t Miles is the latest Poetry of the Plains and Prairies Award winner and was just hand-published with NDSU Press’s Intro to Publishing class at the Braddock Letterpress Museum in ND. The poems follow Albright’s journey as a Native American veteran and parachute-rigger.

2pm-4pm- Paul Legler, author of The Last Dakota Cowboy and Half the Terrible Things

Paul Legler is a lawyer-turned-author and has published two books with NDSU Press. His newest, The Last Dakota Cowboy, is a journey through rural ND in the eyes of a Sheriff that sees authoritarianism rising around him–and what he will do to stop it.

We look forward to seeing you at the event, and I am excited to experience the festival for the very first time!
